Senior Product Designer
About The Position
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to join the Drive team and lead design for new 0 to 1 products. Drive is DoorDash’s first-party logistics platform and our incubator for new business lines. Today, Drive serves a wide range of verticals, from restaurants and grocery to retail, diagnostics, and auto services! You’ll own end-to-end design, vision, and strategy for one or more brand new, 0 to 1 products. You’ll shape both the user experience and product direction, build from the ground up using the latest AI and design tools, and partner closely with cross-functional teams to bring these products to market. This is a rare opportunity to define entirely new surfaces at DoorDash and help launch the company’s next generation of merchant offerings. You will report into the Senior Design Manager, Drive on our Commerce Platform team in our Studio Design organization. This role is hybrid. We operate in a hybrid model with 1–2 days per week in one of our Design Hubs.
Requirements
- You have a portfolio that shows projects that demonstrate craft excellence, systems thinking, and leadership through influence
- You reach for code editors and LLM-powered tools as naturally as design tools, prototyping in production and contributing meaningfully to the codebase
- You influence, design, and build solutions that work across teams and workflows
- You enjoy navigating unclear problems across multiple teams and create clarity through shipped artifacts, not slide decks
- You have a background in high-growth consumer tech or complex marketplace products
Responsibilities
- Drive 0 to 1 projects end-to-end from concept to launch
- Prototype and validate ideas using AI-powered workflows, moving from concept to testable code fast
- Set direction for your product space and pitch new projects, transforming ambiguous problems into shippable next steps
- Work cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and business leads to drive impact
