About The Position

We are looking for an all-star, a legend, an absolute wizard Senior Product Designer to join our Innovation and Design team. In this role, you will: shape and elevate our brand's visual identity, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior designers to bring innovative sunglass collections to life. Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with product design
• Strong background in Product Development of consumer packaged goods, taking the concepts, ideas, vision and turning them into reality (eyewear industry experience is icing on the cake!)
• Refined design capabilities
• Excellent sketching skills is a MUST
• Strong conceptualization skills
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Familiar with digital marketing platforms
• Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and composition
• Knowledge of print and digital design best practices
• Proficiency on a Mac and Google Workspace
• Strong communicator who lives into collaboration
• Driven by personal growth and thrives in an environment of constant feedback
• Is proactive and an independent problem solver! (Can you google a question?)

Nice To Haves

• May or may not have a degree...we don’t care (bonus points for Basset Hound Science or Dinosaur Law)
• eyewear industry experience is icing on the cake!

Responsibilities

• Lead design direction and generate high-level concepts through hand sketching, pattern/textile creation, and custom artwork for frame silhouettes, temples, hardware, and lens treatments (plus premium packaging, marketing assets, and collateral)
• Translate seasonal color, material, and finish (CMF) stories into compelling surface designs across frames and packaging
• Apply fashion and accessory trend narratives onto 2D product surfaces, graphics, and printed collateral with precision
• Develop graphic mockups, colorways, and artwork layouts for sunglasses and soft goods packaging
• Ensure high-fidelity translation of creative vision onto final product print files and 2D Tech Packs
• Mentor junior designers in CMF exploration, surface artwork generation, and packaging design execution
• Be accountable and stick to agreed upon timelines, in addition to communicating early (and often!) when things are off track; we don’t expect perfection, we expect communication
• Work closely with the Product Development, Product Strategy, and Design teams to keep fresh ideas flowing
• This role is in the Innovation and Design team and will report directly to the Director of Innovation and Design
• Perform other related duties as assigned
