Senior Product Designer

SideSan Francisco, CA
Hybrid

About The Position

Side is looking for a Senior Product Designer who can take ownership of complex product problems and drive design from discovery through launch. This role requires someone who understands when to operate independently and when to partner closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to shape the right solutions. You will lead design efforts across initiatives, using customer research, product data, and strong product intuition to guide decisions. The right candidate is comfortable running research, synthesizing insights, and translating them into practical product improvements. We’re looking for someone who is both strategic and hands-on: a designer who uses design thinking and data to inform their process and can produce high-quality UI. This role also requires curiosity and continuous learning. We want someone who actively explores new tools, technologies, and methods—including thoughtful use of AI—to improve how problems are understood and solved. This is a hybrid role based in our San Francisco headquarters. To foster collaboration and maintain our fast-paced culture, we require 2 days per week in the office.

  • Experience working in fast-moving startup or high-ownership environments
  • Curiosity and growth mindset; actively learning new tools, methods, and technologies
  • Thoughtful use of AI tools to support research, analysis, or problem framing (not as a replacement for design thinking)
  • Highly proficient with modern design tools (Figma or similar)
