About The Position

Finster AI is a Series A stage firm, redefining the future of finance with an AI-native research and task automation platform, backed by leading, global venture investors. Founded by a team of experts from Google DeepMind, Meta AI, and J.P. Morgan, Finster AI provides cutting-edge solutions — including end-to-end deliverables such as presentation decks — to some of the world's largest banks and institutional investors, with accuracy, reliability, and privacy at the core. Finster AI is a ~25-person team primarily based in London, with an additional office in New York. The team combines world-class expertise from leading AI labs (Google DeepMind, Meta AI) with senior talent from top financial institutions (Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan, Rothschild & Co, Aviva Investors, Visible Alpha, Revolut). We are seeking a talented and passionate Senior Product Designer to join their growing team and help shape the future of AI design principles as they continue to push the boundaries of AI in Finance.

Requirements

Proven experience in product design (3+ years), with a portfolio showcasing your design process and strong visual design skills.
Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (Figma).
Experience maintaining design systems, including components, patterns, and documentation.
Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and usability best practices.
Familiarity with accessibility standards and a commitment to building inclusive, usable interfaces.
Web experience is required (the product is web-based, though a mobile app is planned).
Comfortable using AI tools in your design workflow (designing AI products is a plus, but not a prerequisite).
Clever, creative, and curious about the implementation of AI in a highly-regulated and high-risk industry.
Strong problem-solving skills for complex, data-heavy applications, with a keen attention to detail.
Data- and UX-driven approach to decision making.
Ability to articulate design decisions and rationale effectively to designers, engineers, and business stakeholders.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Self-motivated and able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Interest or experience in AI/ML-driven interfaces (e.g., conversational UIs, recommendation systems, data visualisation for AI outputs).
Interest or background in fintech, financial services, or personal finance tools.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies and collaborating in sprint-based workflows.
Experience with user research methodologies and data analysis (e.g., planning and synthesizing user interviews or usability tests).
Understanding of regulatory or compliance-driven design considerations in finance (e.g., clarity, trust, data transparency).

Responsibilities

Shape the UX of Finster AI's AI-powered financial research platform, designing interfaces that make complex data and workflows context-aware, timely, intuitive, and trustworthy.
Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate product requirements into user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs for a complex, data-heavy web application.
Iterate on designs based on feedback, user data, and technical constraints, balancing usability, clarity, and feasibility.
Maintain and evolve the design system to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency across all products.
Use AI tools to increase design velocity and exploration — without replacing critical thinking.
Champion user-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle.
Contribute to a collaborative and creative team environment.
