About The Position

Tempo is seeking a Senior Product Designer to play a critical role in shaping the user experience across its product suite. This senior-level individual contributor role involves working closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Research to translate complex problems into intuitive, scalable, and user-centered solutions. The designer will help drive design strategy, elevate quality, and ensure design thinking is embedded throughout the product development lifecycle, from discovery through delivery and iteration.

Requirements

5+ years as a Product Designer working on complex B2B or SaaS products.
Demonstrated ownership of features or product areas spanning multiple teams or core workflows.
Strong skills in UI design, visual design, and information architecture.
Portfolio showcasing thoughtful problem-solving and polished execution at scale.
Ability to connect design to business and user results, understand tradeoffs, and champion high-impact opportunities.
Ability to facilitate alignment, navigate differing perspectives constructively, and build shared understanding within a pod and immediate cross-functional partners.
Comfortable driving strategy and execution independently, maintaining quality and momentum under ambiguity, complexity, and shifting priorities.
Experience applying AI tools with high judgment and consistency across the design workflow.
Proficiency with modern design and collaboration tools (e.g., Figma).

Nice To Haves

Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead design for complex features and product areas with moderate ambiguity, spanning multiple teams or major workflows.
Own problems end-to-end, from discovery through delivery, maintaining quality under tight timelines and evolving requirements.
Facilitate strong alignment across design, product, and engineering.
Navigate disagreements constructively and influence decisions within immediate cross-functional partners.
Connect design decisions to measurable user and business outcomes.
Understand tradeoffs, prioritize high-impact opportunities, and advocate for solutions that benefit both customers and the company.
Drive design strategy and execution with minimal guidance.
Contribute to and help evolve Tempo's design system, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and scalability.
Act as a role model for strong design thinking and craft.
Provide informal mentorship, give thoughtful feedback, and actively help raise design standards across the team.
Apply AI tools with intention and sound judgment across the full design process, using generative UI and emerging technologies to accelerate work and produce better outcomes.
Help shape team norms around responsible, high-quality AI usage.
