About The Position

VTS is seeking a Senior Product Designer to drive product design for high-impact initiatives within VTS Lease, the industry-leading platform transforming how commercial real estate teams manage leasing, make decisions, and drive asset performance. In this role, you will drive and execute product design initiatives from early discovery through to shipped features, with a focus on delivering measurable impact. You will design intelligent workflows that leverage AI to generate actionable insights, helping customers make faster, higher-confidence decisions. You must approach design as a collaborative, iterative process, bringing Product, Engineering, and stakeholders into the work early and often: Especially through collaborative problem framing, ideation, and exploration. Please note that this opportunity is located in New York, NY, and requires this hire to work from our office 4 days a week.

Requirements

  • Proven experience designing and shipping complex SaaS products.
  • Experience designing data-rich or AI-powered experiences, or strong product design intuition in this space.
  • Strong UX and UI craft, with a demonstrated ability to create detailed, elegant, and easy-to-use experiences.
  • Deep experience collaborating with Product Managers and Engineering partners throughout the design process.
  • Strong facilitation skills, with experience leading collaborative ideation and cross-functional workshops.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making thoughtful tradeoffs.
  • Skilled in simplifying complex workflows into intuitive user experiences.
  • Strong communicator who can clearly articulate design decisions and influence cross-functional teams.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates end-to-end thinking, impact, craft, collaboration, and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Own Product Design on Initiatives: Own product design on initiatives from discovery > definition > design > delivery > iteration.
  • Partner closely with Product Managers to frame problems, define opportunities, and align on product direction.
  • Collaborate with Engineering early to understand technical constraints and opportunities.
  • Help drive alignment across Product, Engineering, and stakeholders to ensure successful execution.
  • Design AI-Powered Workflows: Collaborate with Product Managers to define AI-driven product opportunities.
  • Partner with Engineering to understand system capabilities and shape feasible AI-powered experiences.
  • Create intuitive experiences that embed AI-driven insights directly into the user workflows.
  • Translate complex data, including leases, documents, and market signals, into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Balance automation with user control to ensure trust, transparency, and good usability.
  • Solve Complex, Real-World Problems: Design for multi-step, high-stakes workflows involving commercial real estate data.
  • Simplify non-linear user journeys across multiple roles, including lease admins, asset managers, and brokers.
  • Map legacy processes and systems to uncover inefficiencies and opportunities for transformation.
  • Drive Research & Insights: Help with discovery efforts to understand user needs, behaviors, pain points, and decision-making processes.
  • Engage customers directly and bring cross-functional partners into the research and synthesis process.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative insights to inform design decisions and prioritization.
  • Elevate UX and UI Craft: Bring a high bar for thorough, detailed, and elegant product design.
  • Create experiences that are not only functional, but also clear, intuitive, refined, and easy to use.
  • Sweat the details across interaction design, information hierarchy, visual design, edge cases, and overall usability.
  • Ensure workflows feel cohesive and thoughtfully designed from end to end, especially in complex enterprise environments.
  • Partner with Product Managers and Engineering to ensure that craft is preserved through delivery - not just in concept.
  • Practice Collaborative Design: Approach design as a team sport, not a solo activity.
  • Facilitate and participate in collaborative ideation sessions with Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders.
  • Use workshops (e.g., sketching sessions, QAR, journey mapping) to align teams and generate solutions.
  • Share work early and often, incorporating feedback to improve outcomes continuously.
  • Create transparency in process and decision-making, so teams stay aligned and engaged.
  • Collaborate daily with Product Managers and Engineers in a highly integrated product team.
  • Engage directly with customers and bring cross-functional partners into the research and validation process.
  • Participate in design critiques and contribute to a strong, evolving design culture.
  • Help define best practices for designing AI-driven, insight-rich workflows.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous iteration.
