About The Position

Clio is the global leader in legal AI technology, empowering legal professionals and law firms of every size to work smarter, faster, and more securely. We are transforming the legal experience for all by bettering the lives of legal professionals while increasing access to justice. Summary: We are seeking a Senior Product Designer to join our growing Product Design team. This role is available to candidates across Canada (excluding Quebec) and the US. If you are located near one of our hubs (Burnaby, Calgary, or Toronto), you will be expected to work in the office a minimum of twice per week on our designated Anchor Days. Design plays a pivotal role at Clio, standing alongside Product and Engineering as one of the three pillars of our Research and Development organization. Our product designers work directly with customers to understand their behaviors, needs, and workflows. They champion thoughtful, high-quality experiences as we transform how lawyers and their teams serve their clients. If you’re focused on shipping value to customers with an opportunity to revolutionize an industry, you’ve found your next team. What your team does Clio is building the future of legal work in Clio Work—an AI-powered workspace where legal professionals do the work their clients pay for. As part of the Clio Docket team, you’ll be a part of the broader Clio Work organization who will transform the practice of law. Dockets sit at the center of litigation strategy, calendaring, research, business development, and risk assessment. The Clio Docket team aims to provide coverage across every litigation docket, with rich content, deep analysis, and easy-to-use workflows that can be picked up by any legal professional without training. As a Senior Product Designer on Clio Docket, you’ll own a complex and evolving problem space in Clio Work and help shape how docket data and workflows connect across Clio experiences. You’ll collaborate closely with partner designers—especially on adjacent experiences like Library (a key entry point into docket data) and Courts-related workflows. You’ll reimagine the content, analysis, and workflow engine that helps firms of any size navigate litigation in smarter, more optimized, and more autonomous ways. You’ll lead the end-to-end design process, from strategic discovery and opportunity framing through development, launch, and ongoing iteration. Ideal candidates will ground decisions in deep customer understanding, translate ambiguity into clear direction, and partner tightly with Product and Engineering to drive meaningful business and customer outcomes. You’ll launch to learn with high-impact features, raising quality and coherence across our product ecosystem, and demonstrating strong judgment in designing intelligent AI automation that is trustworthy, explainable, and appropriately controlled.
