About The Position
The Senior Product Design Engineer leads development of products from concept through production, collaborating with cross-functional teams to shape the product portfolio and deliver practical, innovative solutions. The role includes technical leadership, product strategy input, and responsibility for engineering quality throughout development and launch.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related engineering discipline.
- At least 5 years of product design engineering experience, including leadership of complex development projects.
- Proven success leading products from concept through commercial production.
- Experience collaborating with manufacturing, sales, marketing, and other cross-functional teams.
- Strong proficiency with CAD platforms such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar design software.
- Must be able to meet U.S. export control requirements (ITAR/EAR) to access technical data.

Responsibilities
- Lead product development projects from concept, prototyping, testing, and validation through production launch.
- Collaborate with industrial designers, engineers, manufacturing teams, and other stakeholders to develop innovative and practical solutions.
- Create detailed engineering documentation, specifications, drawings, and technical reports.
- Use CAD tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD to create, evaluate, and optimize product designs.
- Design and execute product testing, analysis, and validation to ensure quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
- Improve product performance, manufacturability, cost efficiency, and sustainability.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to engineering team members.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Participate in design reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and engineering best practices.
