The Role We are building a new Vehicle Analytics & Insights team within GM’s Vehicle Product organization, and this role is an early hire on that team. As a Senior Product Data Scientist, you will help product teams make better decisions through clear metrics, trusted data, and actionable insights about how customers use and experience GM’s in-vehicle products. You will work at the intersection of vehicle data, product strategy, and user behavior. In this role, you’ll partner closely with product managers, engineers, and designers to advise on product success metrics, improve instrumentation, analyze customer behavior, and translate data into insights that shape product decisions. This is a strong fit for someone who wants to be a hands-on senior individual contributor: someone who can independently own analytics for a product pillar, initially focusing on the highest-priority products within that pillar, influence roadmaps through data, and help build strong analytical habits within a growing team.
