About The Position

The Senior Procurement (Development) Specialist performs and manages key duties in a plant, including EO/4M Changes Management, Parts Development, Suppliers' Quality Issue resolution, New Project Development process management, and other supply chain issues. This role is responsible for managing all these aspects from the Development through Mass Production stages.

  • Manage EO/4M Changes Management.
  • Manage Parts Development.

  • Propose or receive 4M/EO Changes and process all required activities.
  • Analyze parts quality issues, productivity improvement, part supply issues, cost reduction, parts localization, and customer requests.
  • Check cost information for parts changes (Investment Cost, Increase/Decrease of unit price, etc.).
  • Implement strategies to minimize cost and maintain the company's forecasted budget.
  • Perform New Parts Sample T/O and validate effectiveness.
  • Track and manage EPI (Effective Part Information) for production line implementation.
  • Collect and evaluate countermeasures for suppliers' parts quality issues.
  • Check effectiveness and F/Proof for Suppliers' countermeasures.
  • Follow up on development status from development stage to SOP level for new projects.
  • Check Suppliers' Development process/status for new projects or parts development.
  • Perform daily/weekly Suppliers' inventory status checks to prevent part shortages.
  • Analyze forecasts and identify potential risks of Suppliers' part shortage issues in advance.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure all delivery schedules are met on a timely basis.
  • Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.
  • Maintain files and keep all records.
  • Establish and build a pleasant relationship with suppliers for future business dealings.
  • Prepare a contingency plan.
  • Report to the Procurement Manager.
