About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Procurement Multi-Family Manager (Level M) to join our Space Launch Systems team in Huntsville, Alabama. This position leads Supply Chain activities for the Space Launch Systems team, supporting the Avionics IPT Performance-to-Plan for supplier design, production, testing & qualification. The role involves managing procurement plans and transactional activities for all Avionics suppliers, overseeing teammates co-located at critical suppliers, and acting as an authorized agent of the company with the responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements. The position also manages employees and mid-level managers from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines, develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies, and procedures, and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, and objectives. Additionally, the role involves acquiring resources for organizational activities, providing technical management of suppliers, leading process improvements, and developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports. The position also provides oversight regarding negotiation strategies, processes, and related tools, and manages, develops, and motivates employees and mid-level managers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or higher
More than 5 years of experience demonstrating exceptional business, analytical, and problem-solving skills
More than 5 years of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Processes
More than 3 years of experience leading or managing projects and/or teams
Must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
