We are seeking an elite Senior Procurement Analyst to directly support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) located at Redstone Arsenal, AL. in driving enterprise-wide operational excellence. In this high-visibility consulting role, you will serve as a trusted strategist and principal advisor to both Hive Group leadership and MDA defense leaders. You will safeguard the integrity of high-value defense acquisitions by translating complex federal regulations into agile local policies. Your expertise will directly shape the frameworks that protect national security interests and optimize mission-critical procurement actions. This senior-level advisory position is designed for an accomplished contracting professional who thrives at the intersection of regulatory compliance, executive leadership, and strategic oversight. Representing Hive Group on-site, you will lead continuous compliance programs, pioneer advanced training modules, and ensure absolute alignment with Department of Defense (DoD) directives. By mastering complex FAR/DFARS compliance and delivering data-driven insights to senior leaders, you will directly influence the agility, legality, and efficiency of MDA’s multi-billion-dollar portfolio. This position requires personnel to have an ACTIVE Secret Clearance. Work Location: This position is performed on-site at Redstone Arsenal, AL. Regular on-site attendance is required to support customer and contract requirements. Telework may be available based on contract requirements and customer approval.

Requirements

  • An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is Required.
  • Hold a DAWIA Certification Level III (or equivalent) in Contracting.
  • Minimum of a Master’s degree (MA, MS, or MBA) in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a warranted contracting officer.
  • Experience working within a DoD buying activity or an assisted-acquisition civilian agency.
  • Served previously as a senior warranted official, installation chief, or program lead.
  • Direct experience creating, writing, and releasing agency-level contracting policy.
  • Direct experience advising senior leaders on the formulation of contract policy.
  • Direct experience leading contract file reviews and preparing for agency-level PMRs.
  • Master FAR Part 15 formal source selection and FAR Subpart 16.505 ordering procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to eliminate risks in critical procurement actions.
  • Assist the Procurement Management Review Program to improve efficiency.
  • Prepare internal requirements for agency and external audits.
  • Maintain the agency's continuous compliance and self-inspection program.
  • Conduct compliance reviews on solicitations, files, and acquisition records.
  • Offer expert policy advice to the contracting workforce regarding FAR/DFARS.
  • Create training modules addressing PMR findings and self-inspection gaps.
  • Deliver specialized instruction on the MDA Acquisition Management Framework.
  • Analyze training metrics to provide advice on complex acquisition topics.
  • Conduct independent research on contracting regulations, processes, and documentation.
  • Ensure policy changes align with Office of the Secretary of Defense guidelines.
  • Draft local policies that supplement statutory rules with maximum flexibility.
  • Monitor interagency forums to identify emerging acquisition requirements.
  • Help develop and maintain acquisition oversight systems and tracking processes.
  • Update and generate new policy content, managing routing for official approval.
  • Administer internal agency portal content on the Knowledge Online website.
  • Develop and present executive briefings to defense leaders and partners.
  • Perform complex research to support data-driven senior leader decisions.
  • Lead and execute special agency-level projects with enterprise-wide impact.
  • Participate in integration forums to identify and implement organizational efficiencies.
  • Assist programs and functional offices in executing DoD acquisition policies.
