EPTAM Precision Molding is looking for a Senior Process Technician for their 2nd shift at their Phillipsburg, NJ facility. Requirements

  • Trade school graduate or associates degree or a combination of experience and education.
  • Knowledge of Scientific Molding principals.
  • 5+ years experience in an injection molding operation.
  • Experience in a 24/7 manufacturing/molding operation.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with our internal and external customers.
  • Basic knowledge of equipment.
  • Advanced ability to read prints and use measuring equipment along with advanced math skills.
  • Demonstrates experience in performance development, teaching/leading, mentoring and/or organization development. Instills appropriate behavior in others in support of EPTAM values.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains production yields by directly inspecting and/or reviewing reports and coordinating with other shifts to keep the process at peak efficiency and quality including equipment, settings, auxiliary units, robotics, etc.
  • Directs and executes tool changes per the production schedule.
  • Develop injection molding processes using proven scientific methodologies.
  • Validate injection mold and work cell through IQ, OQ, PQ validation process.
  • Document in detail, molding process, mold set up, work cell layout, and troubleshooting information for each job that is validated.
  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
  • Evaluate new processes, components, products, and systems in conformance with engineering specifications.
  • Isolates problems for further analyses.
  • Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment.
  • Performs tests to verify production/process conditions.
  • Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.
  • Tends automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.
  • Support current production needs for trouble shooting and process improvement.
  • Support and oversee new process equipment production.
  • Participate in activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation.
  • Learns to apply and support lean manufacturing principles.
  • Review processing methods.
  • Ensures ISO and safety standards are adhered.
  • Maintain contact with interdepartmental managers to provide feedback when dealing with process or material changes.
  • Understand and execute all plant policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain positive team member relations centered on mutual trust, dignity, respect, fairness, consistency, two-way communication, teamwork, and harmony.
