The Process Safety Engineer is responsible and accountable for the systems, tools and their application to assess and mitigate the process hazards within the business. This role supports the business objective to safely manufacture existing and new molecules in order to delight our customers, through the process safety coordination with Engineering, Operations, HSE, R&D, product development and product management. The role is to demonstrate leadership, initiative, solution implementation, process safety application, knowledge and skills in a fast paced and very dynamic environment, in order to find the best solutions for operating safely. The role supports the implementation of the process safety programs through its geography and leads the process risk assessment required by the projects and changes. It ensures that the selected risk reduction measures and the related strategy meets the criteria for safe operations. The role acts beyond its geography to provide additional experience and resources when needed.
