About The Position

Sentara Health is hiring a Full-Time Day-shift Senior Process Improvement Engineer for the Ambulatory Operations Improvement team. This role is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and optimizing operational processes within the organization to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity. The engineer will use data-driven methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement tools to streamline workflows, reduce waste, improve overall performance, and develop strategies for improvement. This position also involves mentoring other PI Engineers, providing training and guidance, and leading cross-functional teams to design and implement process enhancements, monitor outcomes, and ensure the sustainability of improvements. The role requires close collaboration with department leaders and cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Additionally, the Senior Process Improvement Engineer will create detailed reports and presentations to communicate process improvement findings, outcomes, and recommendations to senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.

Responsibilities
