About The Position
The Senior Process & Facilities Engineer provides advanced technical expertise and engineering support to projects within a multidisciplinary team. The role evaluates complex process and facilities systems, resolves technical challenges, and provides guidance to help meet project objectives, operational-efficiency goals, and safety requirements. The engineer independently evaluates designs and engineering deliverables, troubleshoots process challenges, uses process simulation software to assess system performance, and supports production optimization. The position also contributes to operational readiness, process hazard assessments, process-safety assurance, technical documentation, training, and reporting, while ensuring compliance with company and client HSE policies and applicable regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Chemical or Process Engineering is preferred.
- At least 15 years of relevant industry experience, including 10 years in process and facilities engineering.
- Proficiency in process simulation software such as PRO/II, UniSim, HYSYS, or Aspen Plus.
- Extensive process engineering experience in upstream, refining, or petrochemical operations.
- Advanced knowledge of oil and gas facilities, process design and operations, and applicable industry codes and standards.
- Experience developing Operating Manuals and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Strong knowledge of process-safety design, engineering principles, and industry best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities
- Independently review and evaluate complex project designs, process systems, and engineering deliverables for technical accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with applicable standards.
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex process engineering challenges and recommend effective technical solutions using independent judgment.
- Use process simulation software, including HYSYS, to evaluate system performance and identify production-optimization opportunities.
- Provide technical guidance and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to align operational requirements with project objectives and deliverables.
- Develop and implement operational-readiness plans for new projects and modifications, including assessments of potential risks and operational gaps.
- Lead or provide technical support for Process Hazard Assessments, including HAZOPs, safety audits, and readiness reviews, and recommend risk-mitigation measures.
- Evaluate process-safety barriers and controls to provide risk-based assurance and ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulations.
- Develop and review technical documentation, engineering scopes, Operating Manuals, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Develop and deliver technical training and guide less-experienced engineers and operational personnel on new systems and processes.
- Prepare detailed technical reports covering engineering evaluations, operational-readiness findings, risks, and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with company and client HSE policies and procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
