Senior Process Engineer

About The Position

Responsible for continuous improvement of processes. Works with production management, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify process activities to support customer requirements. Implement new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and affect greater utilization of labor and materials. Motivate and provide direction to the Process Technicians ensuring appropriate directions, training, and evaluation. Develop and maintain the process standards in which all parts are manufactured. Review production and operating records and resolves technical processing issues. Follow established action plans for processes out of range. Specify project management and buy off of new equipment. Manage exploration of new materials and processes in order to achieve the best quality, process, and reliability. Motivate and train the mold setters, ensuring appropriate training and evaluation. Verify and apply narrow ranges for optimum processes to meet customer expectations. Manage exploration of new materials and processes in order to achieve the best quality, process, and reliability. Compile data and analyze past and current information in order to assist in the preparation of the budget and reduce operational costs. Work with tool shops for all tool repairs and maintenance. Maintain documentation closely, following necessary timelines on specific projects. Enforce safety rules daily. Quality System: Understand, apply and meet all function-related Quality requirements. Ability to multitask, interact politely and professionally with customers, suppliers and vendors, and work cooperatively with employees at all levels. Ability to maintain predictable and regular attendance, arrive to designated location on time, or be at assigned location ready to work for assignment (plant, corporate office, or remote).

Requirements

At least 2 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry
Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces
Master-root cause troubleshooting with problem solving
Desire to be hands on and overcome challenges that arise on a daily basis
