As a Senior Process Engineer in our Chapel Hill office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Civil) from an ABET accredited program
  • 8+ years of experience in a consulting environment designing Chemical Process systems or leading design projects in the biopharmaceutical industry
  • Experience with communicating with clients, partners and individuals at all levels within an organization
  • Knowledge and experience with piping systems and a variety of unit operations as applied to pharmaceutical, food, and chemical processing
  • Understanding of applicable design codes, standards and specification requirements, and ability to interpret them
  • Strong spoken and written communications skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Quick technical comprehension and motivation focused on client outcomes
  • Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks
  • Effective working individually and within team environments

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical validation process
  • Experience with CIP/SIP systems

Responsibilities

  • Develop P&ID’s, equipment and piping specifications
  • Complete hydraulic sizing and heat transfer calculations
  • Attend design meetings
  • Perform field surveys
  • Facilitate Process Hazard Analysis (PHA)
  • Field vendor quotations and review vendor submittals
  • Project roles will vary from pure consulting to performing detailed design, commissioning, and startup services based on project requirements
