About The Position

The Senior Process Engineer leads plant discussions and investigations to improve throughput, efficiency, quality, and environmental performance. Through data analysis, field measurements, and conversations with employees, they are able to diagnose issues and develop solutions. This role acts as an influencer, driving the plant towards greater performance. Relocation assistance is provided for candidates outside the local area.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 5 years of cement plant experience
• Strong computer expertise in but not limited to: Excel, Access, IP21, SAP, and SPC.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
• Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support to the plant’s production, quality, and environmental functions.
• Understands strategies, priorities, and optimization techniques that assist the plant in attainment of plant and company objectives.
• Evaluates operations, processes, and trends through the use of audits and systematic approaches (Six Sigma, RCFA, SPC, etc).
• Provides technical support on implementation of new equipment and/or new procedures including training of plant personnel as required.
• Serves as coach / mentor to CP’s in process and other departments.
• Coordinates and participates in the improvement of the Plant’s technical capabilities.
• Initiates process optimization in collaboration with Quality, Production and Maintenance to ensure maximum and efficient utilization of the plant’s equipment.
• Elevates the technical knowledge and practices of all facets of the operation.
• Ensures compliance with internal control procedures, communicating problems in operations, unwarranted deviations from established standards, and violations of policy or law.
• Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
• Promotes a culture of safety and exhibits these behaviors.
