About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Process Development Engineer to support the development and optimization of heat exchanger equipment with focus on tool design and manufacturing support for cold forming of heat transfer surfaces and components along with laboratory equipment design and testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • at least 10 years of professional experience in metalworking, product engineering, and related disciplines.
  • Proven track record developing tooling for roll-forming specialized heat transfer surfaces on tubular products.
  • Project management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess manufacturability of new designs and identify process scalability challenges
  • Proven success in translating R&D innovations into viable, scalable manufacturing processes
  • Proficient with 3-D design packages such as Solidworks or Inventor

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with aluminum extrusion
  • Experience with laboratory testing of thermal products

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of advanced processes for manufacturing heat exchanger components.
  • Lead tooling and machine element design for prototype and production phases
  • Be an internal subject-matter expert and develop specialized tooling for evaluating, testing, and manufacturing new thermal enhancement approaches
  • Support process development at various company locations.
  • Lead development of advanced manufacturing processes for heat exchanger innovations
  • Support prototype development and bench-top to scaled manufacturing transition
  • Evaluate manufacturability and process scalability of R&D concepts
  • Collaborate with R&D engineers to translate innovations into viable manufacturing processes
  • Support feasibility analysis and design for manufacturability assessments
  • Collaborate with manufacturing design engineers to ensure code compliance with ASME, CRN, PED, ABS, and other relevant codes.
  • Evaluate process and equipment requirements for new R&D initiatives and capability expansions (labs, testing facilities, prototype tooling)
