About The Position

The Senior Private Wealth Advisor, Practice Lead plays a vital role in helping high-net-worth clients achieve long-term financial success by serving as a trusted advisor and primary relationship manager. This role is responsible for retaining and growing assets under management by delivering proactive, personalized financial advice through a strategic, client-centric approach. This role requires a collaborative leader who confidently serves as the lead advisor within a dedicated client practice team consisting of a Wealth Advisor and a Client Experience Specialist. While this is not a formal people management role, you will provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and guidance to help the team consistently deliver a first-class client experience. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 10+ years of experience in wealth management, private wealth, financial advisory services, or financial planning, delivering exceptional client experiences
  • Advanced knowledge of wealth management strategies, investment management, financial planning, retirement planning, tax-efficient investing, income optimization, and estate planning
  • Proven ability to manage complex client needs, present investment portfolios, and deliver comprehensive wealth management solutions
  • Demonstrated success serving high-net-worth clients ($1M+), driving client retention, increasing assets under management, and achieving high client satisfaction or Net Promoter Score (NPS) results
  • Experience using Salesforce CRM and modern financial planning platforms
  • Active FINRA Series 65 license required
  • FINRA Fingerprinting required

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead advisor within a dedicated client practice, partnering closely with a Wealth Advisor and Client Experience Specialist to build lasting relationships with a dedicated book of high-net-worth Empower clients ($1M+ investable assets).
  • Deliver a first-class client experience through onboarding, comprehensive financial planning, investment guidance, and investor education.
  • Build trusted client relationships through phone, email, virtual meetings, and in-person consultations.
  • Retain and grow assets under management through proactive communication, ongoing financial education, and exceptional client service.
  • Partner with internal teams across Empower Personal Wealth to advocate for clients and deliver seamless service.
  • Represent the Personal Strategy investment approach by recommending, implementing, and reviewing investment strategies aligned with each client's goals, risk tolerance, and financial objectives.
  • Guide clients through comprehensive financial planning, including retirement planning, income optimization, tax-efficient investing, education funding strategies, and estate planning considerations.
  • Coach, mentor, train, and delegate work to members of the client practice team.
  • Travel locally as needed to meet clients face-to-face and strengthen long-term relationships.
