In this role, the Senior/Principal Technical Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and recruiting qualified candidates, managing all stages of the recruiting process. This involves partnering with a Technical Recruiter for technical and project-based recruiting, developing a deep understanding of Zeno's mission to effectively pitch opportunities, and collaborating with hiring managers to define role requirements, develop job descriptions, track requisitions, and build effective hiring strategies. The recruiter will also support Zeno’s commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) by recruiting qualified candidates, reviewing resumes, conducting screening and behavioral interviews, and collaborating with the leadership team on workforce planning. Additionally, the role includes partnering with the Recruiting Coordinator to ensure an excellent candidate experience, tracking recruiting metrics, executing outreach strategies, and representing Zeno Power at external events to strengthen the employer brand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of Recruiting experience, preferably in the aerospace, defense and/or nuclear industries
  • Experience working for a federal government contractor strongly preferred
  • Experience conducting interviews and background checks
  • Deep knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure in an uncertain environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility across all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deliver a high-quality candidate experience
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to partner effectively across teams and time zones

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent strongly preferred
  • Experience working for a federal government contractor strongly preferred
  • Experience with Confluence and Jira is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Source, attract, and recruit qualified candidates and manage all stages of the recruiting process
  • Partner with Technical Recruiter to support technical and project-based recruiting processes as necessary.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the mission while learning how to effectively pitch the team and opportunity, ultimately closing exceptional technical talent for the organization.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, develop job descriptions, track requisitions, and build effective hiring strategies.
  • Recruit qualified candidates to support Zeno’s commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
  • Review resumes and assess candidate qualifications, technical skills, and functional competencies.
  • Conduct screening and behavioral interviews to evaluate candidate alignment with Zeno’s mission and culture.
  • Collaborate closely with Zeno’s leadership team to understand organizational goals and workforce planning needs.
  • Partner with the Recruiting Coordinator to ensure an excellent candidate experience and a smooth interview process.
  • Track and analyze recruiting metrics to monitor pipeline health, hiring timelines, and overall process efficiency.
  • Develop and execute outreach strategies, leveraging job boards, professional networks, and partnerships with universities and industry organizations.
  • Represent Zeno Power at career fairs, networking events, and other external engagements to strengthen our employer brand.
