Role Description: Proprietary Platforms is paving the way when it comes to product pull through across Collins Aerospace in support of Next Generation Platforms. In order to do this effectively, products must be integrated and tested within a system of systems lab environment to verify everything works as expected prior to becoming a customer deliverable. Proprietary Platforms is seeking a Senior Principal Lead Systems Engineering to help define the future of the Next Gen Platforms Systems Integration Labs across Mission Systems. This position requires: US Government Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance Day 1 . Onsite: This is an onsite role supporting our Cedar Rapids, IA location. Sign-on Bonus Eligible

Requirements

  • Experience in mission systems start up procedures including but not limited to cybersecurity, network configuration, key distribution, secure boot, and latency
  • Hands-on experience in systems and software integration including experience with design, development, and testing of customer hardware and software systems & systems of systems of high complexity
  • Experience interacting with development teams to resolve discrepancies and issues
  • Experience identifying, analyzing, and resolving problems in all phases of the system lifecycle
  • Experience with systems integration, test execution, and test results documentation
  • Experience problem solving and debugging
  • Experience working with customers, end users, hardware & software design teams
  • Experience with initial lab design and capabilities definition
  • Experience developing and formalizing integration plans and procedures based on customer discussions, briefings, interactions, and statements of work
  • Experience developing system level designs, high level control and data interfaces
  • Active and transferable U.S. Government (DoD) Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain an active U.S. Government (DoD) Top Secret Clearance
  • U.S. citizenship only (dual citizenship not permitted) is required, as access to information under this program/contract is restricted to individuals with sole U.S. citizenship.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with and significant knowledge of Agile Mission Suite Government Reference Architecture (AMS GRA)
  • Experience with bid and proposal activities related to system integration and test
  • Experience with Linux scripting languages, such as Python or Bash
  • Knowledge of how low-level BSP and custom operating systems work
  • Experience in generating test scripts to automate integration
  • Executive leadership communication skills
  • Experience with Product and Portfolio Roadmapping
  • Experience in customer interfacing, demonstrations, and prototyping

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and implement multiple Systems Integration Labs for Proprietary Platforms and Mission Systems
  • Work across business units and product organizations to understand program and product operational requirements
  • Develop strategic Systems Integration Lab roadmaps
  • Drive technical execution and communication across the PMT and Executive Leadership
