About The Position

Senior Principal Systems Development Engineer Our customers’ system requirements are usually highly complex. Bringing together hardware and software systems design, Systems Development Engineering operates at the very cutting edge of technology to meet them. We design and develop electronic and electro-mechanical or systems-orientated products, conduct feasibility studies on engineering proposals and prepare installation, operation and maintenance specifications and instructions. Requirements

Strong, broad engineering knowledge at the hardware level with a solid understanding of full system architecture and how all components work together.
Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple fast-paced projects with short development cycles (weeks to months).
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and find solutions outside of conventional approaches.
Effective networking and communication skills with the ability to engage and collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

Experience with server product lines and/or previous work on platform development teams.
Background working directly with customers and translating their needs into actionable engineering plans.

Responsibilities

Lead high-impact initiatives, owning end-to-end architectures and complex integration strategies.
Prototype solutions, validate patterns, and ensure non-functional requirements are met on a scale.
Evaluate custom solution requests from sales teams, assess technical feasibility, and identify any challenges or risks before committing to a project.
Coordinate with downstream engineering teams to schedule builds, plan validation activities, and ensure factory readiness for each custom project.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively and knowing when to escalate or seek support.
Determine material requirements and work cross-functionally to ensure all resources are in place for successful program execution.
Collaborate with global sales and engineering stakeholders across the global engineering teams to deliver customized server solutions on time.
