About The Position

This role is for an experienced immunologist with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional discovery programs, navigate ambiguity, and develop high-performing teams. The successful candidate will shape and advance research across multiple programs, translating complex biology into therapeutic hypotheses while operating effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. In this role, they will also mentor and guide a team of scientists, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Immunology, Biology, or related discipline with 5-7 years of extensive drug discovery experience is required.
  • Demonstrated track record of advancing programs, leading cross-functional teams, and applying immunology expertise to inform discovery strategy is required.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in dynamic, matrixed environments is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, stakeholder influence skills to drive both scientific outcomes and team development is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience conducting due diligence and evaluation of business development opportunities is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery-stage research programs, driving strategy and execution across immunology therapeutic areas
  • Translate emerging biology into adaptable discovery strategies and develop innovative hypotheses for target validation and therapeutic concept development
  • Integrate in silico, in vitro, and in vivo data to inform decisions and advance assets, adapting approaches as new data emerge
  • Navigate shifting scientific priorities with high agility, rapidly evolving strategies and experimental direction
  • Contribute to portfolio strategy and represent programs in governance discussions
  • Operate effectively in a highly matrixed environment, partnering across functions to drive alignment and execution across programs while influencing decisions through scientific expertise and clear communication
  • Mentor and develop scientists while fostering a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environment
  • Lead by example and without formal authority to promote scientific rigor, effective ways of working, and drive team outcomes
