About The Position

Exciting opportunity at Raytheon as an electrical engineer based in McKinney, Texas with responsibilities having significant impact, recognition, and growth in the organization. The engineer will reside within the RF and Microelectronics Center in the Airborne Antenna Design department headquartered in McKinney, Texas. This department is responsible for full-scope Independent Design, Verification & Validation (IV&V) solutions for antenna products, including architecture trades, design, development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of antenna systems and associated integrated system verification solutions. This position is an onsite role, located in McKinney TX.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience in RF passive circuit design and EM modeling
  • Experience with antenna engineering principles including phased array theory.
  • Experience with structured design processes, root-cause problem solving, and successful on-time / on-schedule task execution
  • Experience with test equipment including Antenna Ranges, Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters, etc.
  • Technical leadership experience and proficiency in leading technical teams
  • Ability to obtain Secret clearance as well as the ability to obtain special access clearance(s)
  • U.S. citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS, Matlab, and CAD tools.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the design, development, and deployment of Radio Frequency (RF) passive circuits (radiators, RF manifolds, RF transitions, etc.) and electromagnetic (EM) modeling.
  • Implement best practice standards in the planning, coordination, and execution of RF passive circuit design and EM modeling.
  • Participate in advancing the state of the art with regard to radiator design and EM design and modeling through continual innovation.
