As a core member of the design team, the candidate will be responsible for optical modeling and parameter optimizing, simulating and calculating related optical tolerances as the guideline to other design aspects. Communicate with suppliers and CM/SDE to build components, respond to feedbacks and DFM from them. The candidate should have an overall view of advanced technologies and proactively develop the sense to design the most suitable technical route for project needs. Coordinate with internal teams including Process, Testing, and Automation to review and respond to their DFM items, optimize design, and establish appropriate assembly and test workflows. The candidate should have good experience in making high manufacturability designs to achieve good projected production yields. Responsible for and support the failure analysis on components and final products from an optical aspect. Candidates should have a wide range of technical knowledge, not only within the job function but in other fields that can be used to solve problems. Responsible for training new optical engineers and peer review optical design.
