About The Position

As we continue to grow, BL Companies is seeking a Senior/Principal Land Surveyor licensed in Norwood who brings technical expertise, leadership, and the ability to work effectively in both the field and the office. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying and a proven track record of delivering survey projects with precision and efficiency. This is a dynamic opportunity to contribute to the success of high-impact projects while working collaboratively with BL’s Survey Management team. Depending on your level of experience and interests, you oversee both field and office operations while managing a wide variety of survey projects.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in land surveying
Norwood Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required.
Proficiency in CAD, GPS, and robotic instruments
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership abilities

Nice To Haves

North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee Professional Land Survey License in addition is a plus.

Responsibilities

Scope, estimate, and plan survey projects
Oversee execution of Boundary Surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, and Construction Stakeout
Ensure quality control across all project phases
Help to coordinate staffing and resource planning
Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and service
Travel to job sites as required
Collaborate with Survey Management leadership and contribute to department operations
