As a Principal Engineer, we want the candidate to own a tech initiative and lead technical design activities and also execute it with the help of individual contributors in the team. He/She needs to help architects decide strategy and help define “what”,” why” and “how”. He/She also needs to help in decision making about the tools and technologies required to implement the given problem/use case. They will also own the initiatives end to end, from development to delivery and maintenance on cloud like AWS. As a tech enthusiast, he/she should have experience transforming monolithic architectures, a strong understanding of scaling, distributed architectures, caching, queuing, replications, data structures & algorithms, database solutions, storage, internet tools, protocols and networking. He/She should also help in defining best practices, code reviews and help the organization achieve the objectives of becoming the center of excellence in technology.

Requirements

10+ years of relevant experience
Master in Java, Open to other backend technologies
Passionate about technology-Java, MySql, Postgres, Cloud technologies (AWS/Google/Oracle)
Understands the business and impact of one’s work and larger team
Hands-on and actively driving tech initiatives with individual contributors
Development to delivery and maintenance on cloud like AWS/Google/Oracle
Following engineering best practices
Understand simplicity at scale
One who is a team player

Responsibilities

Own a tech initiative and lead technical design activities and also execute it with the help of individual contributors in the team.
Help architects decide strategy and help define “what”,” why” and “how”.
Help in decision making about the tools and technologies required to implement the given problem/use case.
Own the initiatives end to end, from development to delivery and maintenance on cloud like AWS.
Transforming monolithic architectures.
Strong understanding of scaling, distributed architectures, caching, queuing, replications, data structures & algorithms, database solutions, storage, internet tools, protocols and networking.
Help in defining best practices, code reviews and help the organization achieve the objectives of becoming the center of excellence in technology.
