About The Position

MIPS, a GlobalFoundries Company, develops IP and custom chips focusing on physical AI. Our offerings include all aspects of physical AI-sense, think, act and communicate. We are looking for experienced Systems Architect with expertise in radar signal processing to develop our next generation platform for mm-wave sensing. As Radar Systems Architect, you will join a team with cross-functional expertise in systems, software, digital, analog and RFIC design to deliver best in class mm-wave sensing solutions for our customers.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with 15+ years of relevant experience or Ph.D. with 10+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Deep expertise in MATLAB‑based system‑level simulation
• Experience in radar and/or communications systems
• Experience with silicon‑based transceivers and signal‑processing accelerators in embedded systems
• Working knowledge of C/C++ and Python

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for system engineering of our mm-wave sensing platform. This includes requirement analysis, end to end system level simulation, algorithm development.
• Work closely with analog, digital and software engineers to analyze, define and validate architecture.
• Develop advanced concepts for radar and communication signal processing.
• Simulate impact of analog impairments on system performance and provide design specifications.
• Simulate bit accurate digital architecture data-path and provide design specifications for HW accelerators and/or software implementation.
• Perform experimentation and field testing; analyze, and validate field results with simulations.
