The Test Solutions organization within RTX drives business success by providing a variety of critical engineering services across product lines and functions. We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Senior Principal Electrical Engineer Tech Lead located onsite in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This position involves working in a lab environment with weapon test system designers to understand requirements, design solutions, integrate, and deploy systems supporting test and tactical software development, testing, and delivery of missiles to the warfighter.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of ten (10) years prior relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the execution of complex test system engineering activities, including hardware and test software development, integration, verification, validation, and maintenance within production, manufacturing, or product qualification environments.
  • Experience directing the design, development, and/or integration of test equipment and leading teams of experienced professionals.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong organization, planning, coordination, and communication skills with the ability to influence outside your immediate functional area.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience with rack assembly, cabling, electronics maintenance, and test/data acquisition equipment.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems using oscilloscopes, analyzers, and related tools.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, Agile methodologies, gate reviews, and EVMS.

Responsibilities

  • Understand requirements, design solutions, integrate, and deploy systems supporting test and tactical software development, testing, and delivery of missiles to the warfighter.
  • Lead the execution of complex test system engineering activities, including hardware and test software development, integration, verification, validation, and maintenance within production, manufacturing, or product qualification environments.
  • Direct the design, development, and/or integration of test equipment and lead teams of experienced professionals.
  • Collaborate and influence across multi-disciplined groups of experienced engineers, suppliers, and external partners.
  • Troubleshoot complex systems using oscilloscopes, analyzers, and related tools.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams, Agile methodologies, gate reviews, and EVMS.
