About The Position

Apps Associates is seeking a seasoned Senior Principal Consultant to spearhead global implementation projects within their Oracle Financials Consulting Team in North America. This role specializes in Oracle Cloud Financials, offering crucial guidance on business processes and design to a diverse global clientele. The ideal candidate will have meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and outstanding communication abilities to ensure the delivery of top-notch solutions and foster strong client relationships. This position offers opportunities for expanding expertise and leading initiatives to refine the consulting toolkit for enhanced efficiency.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with Oracle Financials modules (GL, AP, AR, CM, Assets, Financial Reporting), including a deep understanding of Oracle Cloud Financials applications and their functionalities.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Cloud technologies, with the ability to design and implement end-to-end financial system architectures.
  • Strong consulting background, preferably in a senior consultant role, with experience leading global implementation projects and providing guidance on Oracle Cloud Financials best practices.
  • Deep understanding of financial business processes and industry-specific requirements, enabling effective collaboration with clients to translate their needs into solutions.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive projects forward, delegate tasks, and provide mentorship.
  • Hands-on implementation experience with Oracle Cloud Financials applications (GL, AR, AP, FA, CE) across at least 5 end-to-end projects.
  • Strong understanding of financial business processes, accounting principles, and industry standards.
  • Expertise in developing Chart of Accounts, Enterprise Structure, and Trading Community Architecture.
  • Collaboration experience with HCM, SCM, and PPM leads for financial application integration.
  • Client management skills, including working with C-level and mid-level contacts and managing onshore and offshore resources.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments within a structured implementation methodology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Oracle Cloud Financials certification(s) are a strong plus.
  • Experience with Revenue Management, Accounting Hub, Lease Accounting, or other peripheral applications is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with the U.S. Public Sector, and/or experience working with or supporting U.S. Public Sector clients.

Responsibilities

  • Own Oracle Cloud Financials solution definition and delivery.
  • Engage closely with clients to comprehend their business requirements, pinpoint pain points, and translate them into robust, scalable, and efficient solutions utilizing Oracle Cloud technologies.
  • Craft comprehensive financial system architectures from the ground up, utilizing Oracle Cloud Financials applications such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Assets, Lease Accounting, Revenue Management, Accounting Hub and Financial Reporting.
  • Provide expert guidance on Oracle Cloud Financials best practices and conduct global design workshops and presentations for stakeholders to showcase Oracle Cloud Financials capabilities and gather requirements.
  • Lead implementation projects of Oracle Cloud Financials, overseeing the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design and flow mapping), prototyping, testing, and defining support procedures for Oracle ERP products.
  • Develop as-is and to-be business process flows using Oracle best practices.
  • Collaborate with clients to devise tailored solutions to business challenges, ensuring alignment with their objectives and delivering optimal performance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including functional consultants, developers, and project managers, to ensure the delivery of a comprehensive solution in terms of accounting and the impact on financial applications within project timelines and budget constraints.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, example – Requirements, FIT/GAP Analysis, KDD, Process Flows, Data Conversion (Conversion Scope and Strategy), Data Integration (Functional Design Specifications).
