About The Position

MiniMed is looking for a Sr. Principal Clinical Territory Manager to educate and train Health Care Professionals and patients on diabetes products. This is a field-based position that will support our Inland Empire Territory. The expectation is to be in the field 4-5 days/week and remote any remaining time. The role involves educating patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals about intensive diabetes management using Medtronic Diabetes products, supporting sales activities indirectly, and serving as a technical resource. The CTM will collaborate with sales counterparts and other departments to develop and implement territory growth strategies, identify opportunities, and ensure optimal patient experiences. They will also troubleshoot clinical and technical issues related to Medtronic products and assist healthcare professionals in managing patient therapy for positive outcomes. Responsibilities include consulting and presenting to individuals and groups, planning and managing assignments within budget, and traveling within the assigned territory for seminars, events, and meetings. Capturing healthcare professional engagements via Salesforce in a timely and accurate manner and participating in ongoing competency development through training are also key aspects of the role.

Requirements

  • A valid registered license in one or more of the following fields: Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Dietitian (RD), Physician Assistant (PA), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Pharmacist
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years of clinical experience OR Advanced Degree and 8 years of clinical experience
  • Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy.
  • Must be able to drive approximately 100% of the time within assigned territory and may require overnight travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous MiniMed or Diabetes device experience
  • Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) or Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) preferred.
  • Prior sales experience in diabetes device/technology
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
