About The Position

Apogee is seeking an experienced Senior Pricing Analyst to join our Corporate Pricing team in a dynamic, collaborative, and self-directed environment. This highly visible position partners directly with Capture, Business Development, Contracts, Finance, and Executive Leadership to develop competitive pricing strategies that support winning new business across the Department of Defense and Federal Government. This role offers the opportunity to lead pricing efforts from capture through proposal submission while influencing corporate growth strategy and helping deliver solutions to our customers' most complex national security challenges. This position is 100% Remote but can use Colorado Springs, CO or Dayton, OH offices as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience leading Federal Government cost proposals from capture and pre-RFP planning through proposal submission, negotiations, and post-award activities.

Nice To Haves

  • Typically 8+ years of Federal Government cost and pricing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), DFARS, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), DCAA, and DCMA guidance.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including development of complex pricing models and financial analyses.
  • Experience developing compliant cost proposals for multiple contract types, including: Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Time & Materials (T&M), Labor Hour (LH), IDIQ contracts.
  • Ability to interpret complex RFP requirements and translate them into accurate, compliant, and competitive pricing solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional proposal teams, including Capture, Technical, Contracts, Finance, and Human Resources.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to present recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple proposal efforts simultaneously while meeting aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead pricing activities for assigned opportunities from proposal kickoff through submission, serving as the primary pricing lead for Prime and Subcontract efforts.
  • Develop competitive pricing strategies by balancing customer requirements, business objectives, risk, profitability, and Price-to-Win (PTW) considerations.
  • Build and maintain complex pricing models and scalable Excel tools that support compliant, accurate, and efficient proposal development.
  • Analyze solicitations (RFPs/RFQs) to interpret pricing requirements and develop compliant cost proposals across a variety of contract types.
  • Coordinate Basis of Estimate (BOE) development with technical, staffing, contracts, finance, and business development teams to ensure fully integrated proposal solutions.
  • Develop and manage subcontractor pricing requests, evaluate subcontractor proposals, perform cost analysis, and document price reasonableness in accordance with FAR requirements.
  • Research labor markets, historical pricing, competitive intelligence, and other market data to support pricing strategy and proposal decisions.
  • Present pricing strategies, financial analyses, and recommendation packages to Capture Managers, Proposal Managers, Business Line Directors, and Executive Leadership.
  • Prepare and review cost proposal narratives and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with solicitation requirements.
  • Support negotiations, pricing reviews, audits, and customer requests as required while maintaining compliance with applicable acquisition regulations.
