About The Position

The Prequalification Specialist supports the administration and continuous improvement of the company’s Trade Partner prequalification, onboarding, and early engagement processes. This role contributes to risk management, competitive procurement, and successful GMP development on Design-Build and CMAR projects. The Prequalification Specialist serves as a key point of coordination between preconstruction, operations, estimating, and risk management teams, helping ensure that qualified, capable, and aligned Trade Partners are engaged early and positioned for successful execution.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in vendor management, prequalification, or a related field
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and responsive customer service approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with Monday.com, ConstructConnect, or similar software
  • Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Trade Partner prequalification inquiries, submissions, and outreach efforts to support an engaged and responsive Trade Partner base.
  • Administer and maintain the company’s Trade Partner prequalification program, including evaluation of financial capacity, relevant experience, safety performance, licensing, insurance compliance, and workforce capability.
  • Review and evaluate Trade Partner submissions for completeness, accuracy, and potential risk indicators.
  • Coordinate the internal review and approval process with estimating, operations, safety, and risk management teams.
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date database of prequalified Trade Partners by trade, market sector, and project size/complexity.
  • Track expiration dates, monitor renewal cycles, and proactively follow up to ensure continuous compliance.
  • Communicate clearly with Trade Partners regarding requirements, status updates, and next steps throughout the prequalification process.
  • Monitor, track, and report on Trade Partner prequalification metrics and program performance.
  • Support preconstruction and estimating teams with bidder list development and Trade Partner vetting for GMP and competitive bid packages.
  • Assist in documenting qualification decisions to ensure consistency, transparency, and defensibility in Trade Partner selection.
  • Help ensure procurement processes align with project requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Assist in preparing documentation to support GMP narratives related to Trade Partner procurement, qualifications, and risk considerations.
