About The Position

Great Northern is hiring a Senior Prepress Technical Specialist to perform graphics and pre-production tasks and provide support to Manufacturing, Sales, and Customer Service. Under general supervision and following established procedures, the specialist reviews and modifies artwork, prepares files for print, supports production workflows, and helps ensure products can be manufactured and assembled effectively. This is a prepress role, not a design position. The specialist provides technical support across departments on color, graphics, direct print, litho-laminated, and related products. The role collaborates with prepress colleagues and teams at other Great Northern locations, advises customers and management on prepress procedures and graphic arts innovations, and serves as a training and knowledge resource for less experienced team members. It also partners with workflow and color specialists to improve procedures, administer prepress software, and manage color profiles and press curves. This is an onsite, second-shift position, Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Starting pay is at least $31 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications, plus a $2 per hour shift differential. Great Northern describes its workplace as collaborative, safe, clean, friendly, and supportive of employee growth. The company manufactures paper-based packaging products and states that its products are sustainable and eco-friendly.
