About The Position

The Senior Practice Support Project Manager is an integral part of Latham’s Practice Support Services team. This role will be responsible for leading a project management team and collaborating with other resources within the firm to assist in all aspects of a litigation matter, while acting as a trusted advisor and primary liaison with case team members with the goal of owning the service delivery relationship and providing project coordination across multiple teams while ensuring an excellent client experience. This role will be located in our New York office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Requirements

  • Advanced operational skills and expertise with legal processes, electronic discovery best practices, and the ability to advise case teams accordingly.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT systems architecture, including server systems, email systems, database systems, telecommunications systems, mobile devices, social media, and cloud storage and implications for eDiscovery.
  • Expert-level knowledge of forensics collection methodologies, ESI processing, and document review technologies.
  • A bachelor’s degree.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in electronic discovery consulting and project management, and litigation support, including data processing and document review platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in project management or eDiscovery practices, such as PMP or CEDS, preferably.

Responsibilities

  • Leading a project management team.
  • Collaborating with other resources within the firm to assist in all aspects of a litigation matter.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor and primary liaison with case team members.
  • Owning the service delivery relationship.
  • Providing project coordination across multiple teams.
  • Ensuring an excellent client experience.
  • Collaborating with eDiscovery Solutions Attorneys to develop and implement best practices for handling clients’ electronically stored information (ESI).
  • Understanding client needs and expectations, ensuring requirements are documented, communicated, and incorporated into project plans.
  • Liaising with clients’ in‑house eDiscovery teams to create or support documented best practices.
  • Developing comprehensive project plans and timelines for eDiscovery projects.
  • Providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project managers and other colleagues with regards to eDiscovery procedures and best practices.
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains.
