The Senior Practice Manager oversees the daily operations of the practice, working collaboratively with a physician co-leader. This role involves managing patient scheduling and registration, insurance verification, clinical work-up, patient flow, EMR data capture, coding and charging, referral and ancillary service scheduling, and co-pay/co-insurance collection. The manager ensures compliance with regulatory standards, licensing, and accrediting agencies, as well as state and federal laws and Advocate Health policies. Key responsibilities include fostering communication with providers and staff, analyzing data to improve performance and patient satisfaction, implementing and monitoring EMR utilization for preventive medicine and disease management, recruiting and managing staff, setting mutual goals, providing performance feedback, managing resources for efficiency and cost reduction, and overseeing billing, collections, and budget processes. The role also includes performing Point-of-Care testing and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
