About The Position

Perform diagnostic evaluations, skilled maintenance and repairs on the most complex equipment and parts in the Department of Film & Television, Tisch School of the Arts. Serve as a resource to junior technical support staff in the maintenance and repair of equipment and assist with training. Oversee daily operations for assigned area of operation including coordinating work schedules. Prepare and conduct technical seminars, workshops, and individual training for students, faculty and staff on proper use of equipment. Consult with students and faculty on a variety of production needs including instruct on operation of analog and digital equipment. Maintain facility inventory and ensure security.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
3+ years providing customer support in an academic and/or production-related environment.
Experience in an equipment repair facility.
Knowledge of/ability to repair wide variety of equipment.
Skilled at troubleshooting.
Ability to train others to use equipment.

Nice To Haves

Relevant certification
Ability to operate and repair media and sound equipment such as Avid and ProTools.
