About The Position

The PMO Senior Portfolio Manager owns the enterprise portfolio of programs and projects, ensuring the right investments are selected, sequenced, funded, and delivered to achieve strategic outcomes. This role leads portfolio planning, governance, and performance management, partnering with executives, finance, and functional leaders to balance value, risk, and capacity. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, financial acumen, and delivery rigor with the ability to influence across a matrixed organization.

Requirements

10+ years in project/program/portfolio management, including 5+ years managing enterprise portfolios in a matrixed environment.
Demonstrated success leading portfolio governance, prioritization, and funding at the executive level.
Strong financial acumen (forecasting, capitalization, ROI/NPV, benefits realization) and experience partnering with Finance.
Proficiency with PPM platforms (e.g., Planview, Clarity, Smartsheet, Jira), and analytics/visualization (Power BI/Tableau).
Expert in stage-gate, change control, and risk management; able to turn insights into decisions and actions.
Exceptional communication skills—able to craft executive-ready narratives and facilitate complex, cross-functional decision-making.
Bachelor’s degree
PMP, PgMP, or PfMP; SAFe Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) or equivalent agile portfolio certification.
Experience with product and project operating models (agile, hybrid, waterfall) and value stream concepts.
Domain familiarity (e.g., healthcare, payer/provider, technology, finance, life sciences) depending on your industry.
