About The Position

Intertek CEA is seeking a Senior Policy Analyst to deliver policy analysis for its Solar PV (PV) and Energy Storage System (ESS) service publications, interactive client services, and bespoke consulting engagements. The role focuses on researching policies affecting the import, sale, and deployment of solar and battery energy storage products and analyzing their expected market impacts. The analyst contributes to recurring research and reports, supports consulting engagements as a subject-matter expert, and participates in client presentations, commercial activities, and thought leadership. This is a remote position for applicants residing in and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Requirements

Strong research and analytical skills.
Understanding of renewable energy policy, ideally on a global basis.
Strong communication skills, including in-person presentation skills and the ability to explain complex policies simply.
Fluency in PowerPoint, including creating charts to explain data visually.
A network across key players in the solar and energy storage industries.
At least 2 years of experience in consulting, market research, or corporate strategy development.
Deep interest in clean energy and the energy transition.
Must reside in and be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Research and analyze policies related to the import, sale, and deployment of solar and battery energy storage products, including their expected market impacts.
Maintain Intertek CEA’s reputation as a preferred partner for global PV and ESS policy-focused advisory services.
Support development and expansion of the standard research portfolio and contribute to special projects.
Lead policy discussions during presentations and question-and-answer sessions for EBR and bespoke clients.
Support the Consulting team as a subject-matter expert, providing market intelligence and insight during bespoke engagements.
Contribute policy analysis to the PV and ESS Supply, Technology and Policy Report (STPR) and new reports as introduced.
Identify and catalog critical data resources for recurring analyses.
Maintain internal file systems and appropriately archive relevant source and process documents.
Strengthen analytical frameworks using AI tools and help establish and maintain safeguards for reviewing AI-generated content with policy team members.
Build relationships with key clients through formal and informal engagements.
Support the Commercial team in virtual sales calls, industry conferences, and road shows by providing subject-matter expertise.
Support Marketing by providing content and thought leadership for marketing communications, including blogs, webinars, papers, panels, and trade shows, considering activity ROI.
