Senior PLC Engineer
About The Position
Valeo is a global tech company focused on developing innovative mobility solutions. As a Senior PLC Engineer, you will be responsible for industrial technologies within your designated perimeter, managing and animating process expertise, and coordinating interfaces between the site, global product groups, and the Process Expertise Center. You will also manage industrial teams, the site's industrial plan, and drive standardization programs for products and processes. This role involves participating in technical committees, validating process changes, managing industrialization projects with expert support, defining program allocations, and participating in various project reviews and sourcing committees. You will also apply standardization rules for equipment and tools, define programs and budget targets, and oversee site industrial performance, including deliveries, quality, and asset utilization. Additionally, you will support daughter sites during ramp-up and process issue resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineer (or other relevant Engineering discipline)
- 4+ years of PLC programming experience, preferably using Allen-Brandley
- Experience with Fanuc, ABB, or Kuka robotic systems
- Experience programming PLCs in a high-speed industrial environment
Nice To Haves
- Experience using Variable Frequency Drivers (VFDs)
- Experience using Vision Systems (Keyence or Cognex)
Responsibilities
- Responsible for industrial technologies of its perimeter
- Manage and animates the Process Expertise of its perimeter
- Coordinates the interfaces between its site, PG/PL/RO/platform and the Process Expertise Center
- Manage the industrial teams in its perimeter (plant, production and industrialization)
- Manage the industrial plan of the site in line with the MTP, within its perimeter
- Coordinate and push standardization program project for product and process of its perimeter
- Participate to Technical Committee and validate process ECR
- Manage and validate industrialization projects, with experts support
- Define the program allocation during CAA and IAR process
- Participate in the IVC, PMC & PSC and Red Project Review, sourcing committee, …
- Apply the rules for equipment and tools standardization coming from PG
- Define programs and Budget Target
- Master Site Industrial Performance and deliveries, DL, Quality and Asset Utilization.
- Support daughter sites during ramp up and processes issues
