About The Position

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is hiring a Senior Platform Software Engineer for its Infrastructure Planning and Capacity Management organization. The team develops platforms, services, workflows, and operational tools that enable planning, sourcing, deployment, and management of capacity across Oracle’s global cloud infrastructure. Its systems support infrastructure planning, capacity forecasting, deployment readiness, sourcing operations, and operational decision-making, serving engineering, operations, supply chain, and finance teams. The engineer independently designs, develops, tests, and operates software components and services for infrastructure planning and capacity management. The role owns moderately complex components within platform services or SDKs, evolves contracts for multi-tenant use, leads team-level improvements to integration frameworks and developer tooling, and performs deep debugging across a bounded set of distributed services. It also analyzes usage, performance, and error budgets; implements resilience and capacity optimizations; and authors team-scoped documentation, samples, and adoption guidance. The position involves developing and optimizing software aligned with established architecture, conducting code reviews, testing and troubleshooting, maintaining APIs, and supporting secure, reliable services. The engineer collaborates with team members and cross-functional partners to resolve customer issues, improve products, and maintain system availability. The position is onsite five days per week in Nashville, Tennessee; it is not remote. Relocation assistance is available.
