We are seeking Platform Engineers who are passionate about creating and supporting DevOps tools with emerging technologies to join our team. As a Platform Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One. About the Team: Associate Experience Technology is dedicated to empowering a large scale workforce through innovative technology and user centric solutions. By partnering with cross functional stakeholders in HR, Finance, and Facilities, we streamline operations and execute on high level strategic initiatives that enhance the associate experience. The Enterprise Search Team is building the backbone of our AI-driven Work OS. We focus on scaling state-of-the-art Agentic AI solutions that revolutionize Developer Productivity and Knowledge Discovery. As a Platform Engineer, you will play a dual-impact role: engineering the high-availability systems powering our AI agents while ensuring our core internal platforms—OnePlace and LumApps—remain high-performing and "well-managed." You’ll bridge the gap between innovative AI exploration and the operational excellence required to support a global workforce.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 4 years of experience using build and deployment tools (Jenkins, GitHub, or Artifactory)
  • At least 2 years of experience with AWS
  • Utilize scripting languages like Python, SQL, Ruby and Groovy
  • Container Orchestration services including Docker and ECS
  • CM tools including Ansible and Terraform
  • A variety of AWS tools and services

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience with AWS
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile practices

Responsibilities

  • Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
  • Continuously improve software engineering practices
  • Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies
  • Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of your solutions
  • Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community
  • Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity
