Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. We are seeking Senior Platform DevOps Engineer to join our team. The qualified candidate will support the development and maintenance of our modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solution in our environment. These environments, a mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware, provide the enterprise hybrid-cloud backbone for product development and testing for a large Project producing a critical, strategic national asset. This will include a mixture of hands-on keyboard engineering work as well as documentation and baseline control. The Senior Platform DevOps Engineer will be well versed in the use of tools such as Ansible and Terraform to implement and support the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solution for our programs. NOTE This position will be based out of the RTX Facility in Aurora CO, and the ideal candidate will be expected to come on site to the RTX campus to perform work.

Requirements

Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and a minimum 5 years of related work experience
Experience with Linux System Administration (E.g. RHEL 6.0+)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) design, development, and deployment
Experience with deploying, configuring, maintaining COTS/FOSS products such as LDAP, RHEL, Tenable, Consul, Ansible, Terraform
Active and existing TS/SCI security clearance is required on day 1.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Experience with Ansible automation frameworks
Implementing Scaled Agile Frameworks
Experience with troubleshooting and debugging deployment and software infrastructure issues
Experience with code repository systems (E.g. ClearCase, Bit Bucket)
Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CICD Pipelines tools (E.g. Jira / Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bit Bucket, Jenkins)
Experience with programming languages (E.g. Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go)
Background in COTS/FOSS product installation, configuration, and integration
Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (E.g. scrum, SAFe)
Container development and orchestration (E.g. Kubernetes/Docker)
Experience with installing and configuring Kubernetes
Current CompTIA Security+ or ability to obtain

Responsibilities

Leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to assist with deployment, implementation, modernization, and support of IaC solutions
Support software tool customization and automation including deployment of templates, dashboards, and scripts to support program needs utilizing Ansible Playbooks
Assist with integration of the selected platform provisioning tools such as Terraform
Assist with design/architecture/development and support of build/test pipeline and integration, optimizing for performance and scalability across on-premises computing environments
Assist engineers with specialized tool usage and issues, leveraging standards and best practices towards the solution
