About The Position

Pavement Maintenance Group is seeking a Senior Plant Accountant to join their team. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Several years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to manufacturing, inventory, cost accounting, or plant/operational environments
  • A strong accounting foundation with the ability to learn, take ownership, and grow into a broad plant-focused role
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data and ERP systems
  • A self-starter who can manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Someone who thrives in a hands-on, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

  • Managing monthly financial close and reporting to accurately reflect plant performance
  • Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash reconciliations
  • Supporting inventory tracking, cycle counts, and cost accuracy
  • Maintaining fixed assets and financial records
  • Assisting with pricing, margin analysis, and operational decision-making
  • Partnering with operations and sales teams to improve financial visibility
  • Supporting audits, compliance, and process improvements
  • Reviewing timecards and coordinating with payroll on regional submissions
  • Identifying opportunities to strengthen systems, controls, and efficiency
