Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Planning, Environmental Planning, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Ten years of experience in transportation planning, with a focus on business development or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership.
Proven experience and success in leadership roles, with a track record of managing complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
Experienced in communication and interpersonal skills by articulating complex ideas to diverse audiences.
Experienced in the development of professional networking abilities and established connections within the industry.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in Transportation Planning, Environmental Planning, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Established industry network and a strong track record of winning work or growing a planning practice.
Prior experience leading or growing a transportation planning or environmental planning practice.
Professional certification such as AICP, PE, or similar.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute growth strategies to enhance our transportation planning business, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and government agencies to secure new projects and foster long-term partnerships.
Identify emerging trends and opportunities in transportation planning and environmental sustainability, driving revenue growth through targeted initiatives.
Lead the preparation of winning proposals, ensuring they align with client needs and showcase our expertise in transportation and environmental planning.
Inspire and mentor a multidisciplinary team of planners, engineers, and environmental specialists, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
Provide high-level oversight on complex transportation planning projects, ensuring they meet environmental, regulatory, and sustainability standards.
Represent the organization at industry conferences and events, positioning the company as a leader in transportation environmental planning.
Serve as an advocate for sustainable transportation solutions, engaging with policymakers, community leaders, and industry stakeholders to advance shared goals.
