About The Position

Kleinfelder, a Forbes' Top Employer for Engineers in North America, is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Pipeline Project Engineer to join their Energy team in Atlanta, GA. This role is crucial for managing project delivery from initiation to closeout, involving strong attention to detail and communication with stakeholders. The position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team. The project work will be multi-disciplinary, with a preference for experience in utility pipeline, geotechnical (including trenchless design), and civil engineering. This is a hybrid work schedule position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree
  • Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Minimum 10 years of related pipeline experience
  • Working understanding of pipeline standards and industry accepted practices.
  • Working knowledge of Natural Gas and Hazardous Liquids systems including engineering design and construction.
  • Computer skills required: MS Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint), AutoCAD 3D

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the planning, design, engineering of natural gas pipelines, both distribution and transmission, is preferred.
  • Experience in utility pipeline with knowledge of pipeline, geotechnical (including trenchless design) and civil engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manages all phases of project delivery including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, invoicing and closing.
  • Develops and maintains client relationships.
  • Works effectively with project support staff to monitor and control project to achieve financial target metrics for all projects.
  • Effectively communicates technical information to practitioners, clients and laypersons.
  • Mentors and coaches project team members and provide constructive feedback on team member performance.
  • Executes project to meet or exceed client expectations while meeting industry standard of care.
  • Follows and adheres to all federal and state regulations, client requirements and contracts, and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains and drives the Kleinfelder culture of safety.
