About The Position

The Senior Physical Therapist and Project Lead provides direct physical therapy evaluations and treatment while also carrying out supervisory responsibilities. The role serves as the primary clinical liaison between clinicians and lead clinicians for day-to-day clinical issues and leads projects involving digital therapy applications. This includes collaborating with teams to test, develop, and implement digital health tools, and training staff in their use. The position maintains a direct-service caseload of approximately 40–50% and supports the clinical quality, productivity, and operations of an assigned team.

Requirements

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
Active California Physical Therapy License issued by the California Department of Consumer Affairs.
A minimum of 3–5 years of physical therapy experience treating all age groups.
Experience with Remote Therapeutic Monitoring.
Excellent judgment and knowledge of current therapy practices, with demonstrated clinical, analytical, and documentation skills.
Ability to provide physical therapy services in English or bilingual Spanish-speaking languages.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a timely manner and work calmly and effectively in a stressful, fast-changing environment.
Professional communication skills and ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships with clinicians, team members, clients, patients, and families.
Flexibility and adaptability, including the ability to adjust to changing conditions while maintaining a high-performance standard.
Ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and collaborate in a remote or hybrid environment, including in high-pressure situations.
Comfort with technology and learning and testing new software applications.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace programs.

Nice To Haves

Outpatient physical therapy experience.
Past experience working in a digital therapy environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain a caseload of direct physical therapy services, including evaluations and treatment, comprising 40–50% of the role.
Lead special projects involving the testing, development, and implementation of digital therapy applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test and develop digital therapy tools and platforms.
Train, educate, and mentor team members on integrating digital applications and tools into clinical practice.
Serve as Clinical Supervisor for assigned physical therapists and/or graduate students and as the first point of contact for assigned providers.
Work with the Office Manager to support high-quality physical therapy services and a positive, patient-centered clinic culture.
Be responsible for the overall productivity of the assigned team.
Provide direct services as needed to address team coverage gaps.
Assist the Clinical Lead with utilization and key performance indicator data through weekly reports on utilization, capacity, and PT/A productivity.
Communicate with and support clinicians who have questions in the ticketing system.
Ensure timely documentation for the assigned team, based on reports.
Conduct clinical observations as part of the clinical quality improvement process.
Serve as the main liaison between clinicians on the assigned team.
Manage assignments of Physical Therapists with Clinical Supervisors.
Assist the Clinical Director and Clinical Manager with assigned tasks.
Oversee project team members involved in digital application testing and rollouts.
