About The Position

Every day, Cambia’s dedicated team of Senior Physical Security Specialists is living our mission to make health care easier and lives better. As a member of the Physical Security team, our Senior Physical Security Specialist is responsible for enterprise-wide physical security operations, risk management, and security program execution. Serves as a senior individual contributor and subject matter expert providing strategic guidance, operational leadership, executive protection, incident response, security technology oversight, and governance support. Partners with Corporate Physical Security leadership, business units, vendors, and external stakeholders to ensure a safe and secure environment for personnel, facilities, and assets – all in service of creating a person-focused health care experience.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration, Homeland Security, Emergency Management, or a related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in law enforcement, federal law enforcement, military police/security forces, executive protection, or other protective services assignments involving threat assessment, incident response, and personnel protection, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Advanced analytical thinking, critical decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Advanced verbal and written communication, collaboration, relationship-building, and executive presence.
Advanced capability in risk assessment, threat management, executive protection, emergency response, and incident command.
Advanced knowledge of physical security technologies, systems administration, governance, and program development.
Ability to coach, mentor, and guide security personnel, vendors, and stakeholders.
Ability to develop and deliver presentations and training programs.
Ability to perform effectively in dynamic, high-pressure, and sensitive environments involving senior leadership and critical incidents.
Demonstrated practical judgment, discretion, and service orientation supporting safety and business continuity.
Must reside within commutable distance of Portland, OR or Renton, WA office.
Must have access to a personal mobile device to set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) upon joining the company.
A background check is required.

Nice To Haves

Preferred certifications include CPP, PSP, APP, executive protection certification, and CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
Experience with AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity and decision-making in professional settings highly desired.

Responsibilities

Performs enterprise physical security operations oversight aligned with organizational risk posture and business needs.
Responds to critical incidents and emergencies affecting personnel and facilities.
Provides executive protection services for senior leaders, Board members, and designated personnel.
Plans and executes protective operations for board meetings, executive events, and public-facing engagements.
Conducts physical security, threat, and violence risk assessments and recommends mitigation strategies.
Oversees physical security technologies, including access control, video management, intrusion detection, visitor management, and SOC systems.
Supports and oversees SOC activities, incident monitoring, escalation, reporting, and response coordination.
Oversees contract security vendors and guard services, ensuring compliance with contractual and operational requirements.
Develops, maintains, and delivers physical security policies, procedures, and training programs.
Coordinates with law enforcement and external agencies to support investigations, threat management, protective operations, and emergency response.
